Counselling and wellbeing support for individuals navigating life transitions.
People often seek counselling when life feels manageable on the surface but difficult underneath. I work with a range of emotional experiences, including:
Ethan is a registered counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA), currently based in Melbourne. He has extensive experience working across schools, hospitals, and community settings in both China and Australia, supporting clients with a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges.
Ethan works with individuals experiencing trauma, depression, mood-related difficulties, family and relationship issues. He is particularly interested in helping clients make sense of their inner experiences, not just manage symptoms. His approach is reflective, culturally sensitive, and grounded in a deep respect for each person’s unique story.
Having been born and raised in China and now living in Australia, Ethan brings lived experience of migration and acculturation. He understands the complexity of navigating identity, belonging, and life transitions across cultures, and often works with international students and migrants facing these challenges.
Ethan offers a supportive and non-judgmental space where clients can explore what lies beneath their struggles and begin to move towards greater clarity, connection, and wellbeing.

Ethan believe that what we experience in relationships can also be healed through relationships. Ethan use a range of therapeutic modalities based on client’s needs, including:
• Person-centred Therapy
• Psychoanalytical Therapy
• Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
• Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
• Solution focused brief therapy (SFBT)
